Drum Tab: Give Me Something Real

There is a studio story a friend shared with me that has stuck with me over the years. He had tracked a few songs for the demo or album they were working on before the studio engineer stopped him. He said to my friend, "we spent all that time tuning and miking your toms and you've hardly touched them. They sound good--use them!" Since then, I've made an effort to incorporate some tom-work into most songs.
